How are Leap Mandalas made?
First, I design the mandala on paper. If I love it, I show it to my circle of supportive critics who know I’m more interested in designs you’ll love than I am in getting fake thumbs up to make me feel good. If the design passes their Ooh-Aah test, I take it to Dave, a digital artist who meticulously converts it to a digital file and prints it on a fine-grain, archival quality canvas.
We then mount the canvas on a hand-stained, solid wood frame and trim it up precisely for you to use and proudly display in your home.
Can the frame be stained any other color?
Currently, we stain all frames in a solid black. We like the gallery-like appearance and the way the black accents the lines of the Leap Mandalas.
Can I get other sizes of Leap Mandalas?
For now, the 12” X12” is the available size. However, we are researching other options. Subscribe to my newsletter and I will notify you as new designs and sizes are released.
Are there other designs to choose from?
Yes, I design new Leap Mandalas at least once a month, often more. Return to my site regularly to see what’s new, or subscribe to my newsletter to be notified when new designs are released.
Can you custom design a Leap Mandala for me?
Absolutely. Contact me and we can determine design, cost, and timeline.
I am a coach and would like to offer these to my clients. Can you design my own line of Leap Mandalas?
Sure. I love providing tools for coaches and other professionals to use with their clients. Shoot me an email and we can make it happen.
Do you offer wholesale pricing?
Yes I do, on orders of ten or more. I welcome your help in getting Leap Mandalas to every action-taker. Contact me and let’s make a plan.
Can I make special requests for future designs?
USING YOUR LEAP MANDALA
What should I track?
Track anything that matters to you. In fact, most of us track many things at the same time. We leapers seldom take only one leap at a time. Or maybe you’re in the middle of planning a huge leap with many moving parts and you will devote the entire Leap Mandala to it.
Adopting a new habit? Color in a shape every time you do it. Paying off bills? Planning a trip? Setting income goals? Tracking sales? Eating cleaner? Smiling more? Swearing less, or more? There are so many things to track. Part of a 30 day challenge? Track it on your Leap Mandala. Your to-do list may spark ideas, too. Click here for more ideas, or check out our Facebook page to see what others are doing.
I have an idea of something that could be tracked on a Leap Mandala. Will you add it to the website?
Yes, send me an email and I will get it added to the list. You can also post it on our Facebook page.
What if I have more areas to color in than tasks I need to complete?
Your design may have an area of tiny shapes, more than you need for a leap you are tracking. In that case, most of us color in 3 – 5 of the shapes each time we take action instead of just one. Another option is to track a couple of different things in the same area using a different color for each of the two. Your Leap Mandala is your art, so do it your way. You can’t make a mistake. Most of all, celebrate your accomplishments and have fun.
What if I want more colors? What pens should I use?
The pens included with your Leap Mandala get you started nicely. If you want more color choices, here are a few other markers I recommend.
- Sharpie Chisel tip permanent markers. Comes individually or in packs of 8 colors. You can purchase these most at office supply stores. They provide good coverage. Click here to order them on Amazon.
- Copic Markers. Comes in a variety of packs and can be purchased individually. You can purchase these at art supply stores. Definitely the top end of markers. Click here to order them on Amazon.
- Sharpie Brush point permanent markers. Comes in 4, 8 or 12 packs. You can purchase these at most office and art supply stores. Great coverage. Click here to order on Amazon.
- Crayola (yes Crayola) Broad line markers. Crayola markers do work on the canvas and provide good coverage. Some of the colors aren’t as bright, but they are an option and easy to find at most stores. Click here to order on Amazon.
What pens should I avoid?
Fine tip markers don’t provide solid coverage. I have tried a variety of markers and the ones I have listed above have performed the best. If you do find a brand that works great, I would love to know. Please shoot me an email or send me a message through the Contact page.
Can I use paint on my Leap Mandala?
Absolutely. The canvas is made to take paints, markers, or watercolors. If you prefer painting, go for it! Please send me a picture. I would love to see your creation.
Does this work for couples or families?
Absolutely. In fact, Leap Mandalas got their start that way. My husband and I wanted to establish some new habits around money and this was our solution. It has worked brilliantly and we continue to take consistent action toward our goals. Click here to read the whole backstory.
It can also work for families and even work teams.
What about businesses? Would this work for business goals?
A resounding YES! Entrepreneurs are perpetual leapers, and businesses leap every day. Head over to the “Things to track” page and check out what other business owners are tracking on their Leap Mandalas.
Where do you ship?
We can ship internationally. However, the shipping prices in your shopping cart are for US only. We are happy to ship outside the United States, so simply contact me and we will figure it out.
What are the shipping charges?
There is a flat rate of $6.00 per item. It will be shipped via ground using UPS or FedEx.
How long will it take to get my order?
Once our initial pre-launch is complete, the average time from order to delivery should be between 11 – 15 days. If you need it sooner, please contact me.
Why does it take so long to get my Leap Mandala?
Since the Leap Mandalas are all made to order, it takes 2 – 5 days for us to get it ready for you. Ground shipping can run from 7 – 10 days. Our goal is to get it into your hands as quickly as possible.
Will I get a tracking number?
Yes, when your order ships, you will receive an email with a tracking number so you know when you’ll be holding your own Leap Mandala (or the person you are gifting).
Are you available for interviews?
Absolutely. I love sharing the concept of Leap Mandalas and the stories of people using them. I speak to audiences on the topic of Press Go, the power of leaping.
Do you provide training or instruction on how to use these?
Yes, it’s coming. If you would like me to come speak to your group or lead a training, please contact me.
What do you mean by leaping?
I mean jumping into something important to you, taking action toward a milestone or mastery that matters to you.
What does taking a LEAP have to do with Mandalas?
Mandalas have been used for centuries to trace the stories and unfolding journeys of people. In every story and journey there are leaps. If you’re alive, and you must be because you’re reading this, you leap.
Leap Mandalas are a modern use of an ancient tool, one that keeps you moving in the direction of your desires. There, on your wall, is evidence of not only where you intend to go but how far you have already come. It is the heart’s gold star chart, an artful and spiritually powerful way to record and celebrate your accomplishments.
Imagine your collection of Leap Mandalas becoming heirlooms inspiring action and admiration in the hearts of your children and those who come after. Imagine you holding your grandmother’s Leap Mandala. Imagine your grandchildren holding yours.
How did you come up with this idea?
My family and I painted mandalas in Peru when we were staying at a camp for volunteers. We were nearing the end of a nine-month backpacking trip around the world (TheCourageVibe.com). When we returned home to Portland, I found myself drawing mandalas. Months later, my husband and I set a desire to adopt new habits around money. I started to create a spreadsheet like most serious action-takers do, especially if, like me, you used to be a financial advisor. Then I was inspired to do it a different way, and Leap Mandalas were born. Our leap into new money habits produced a new way for you and I to declare, track and celebrate our leaps. As family and friends saw our Leap Mandala coming alive with color, they wanted one, too. I witnessed their successes using the Leap Mandalas and took the leap into launching my first product ever. Who are you?
I am Jody Temple White. I am a self-proclaimed non-artist who has somehow created an artistic product. I took a 9-month, low-budget, high-adventure trip around the world with my husband, son (age 16) and daughter (age 11). You can read about our adventure at www.TheCourageVibe.com. I am a speaker, soon-to-be podcaster, adventurer and strategist of sorts. We currently live in Beaverton, Oregon and are planning our next adventure. While not new to business, I am new to selling products online, so I am taking a leap and using my Leap Mandala to track my accomplishments in this new venture. Want more information about me, shoot me an email and we can chat.
